# Tracked sources

> Add Discord channels, Telegram chats or topics, Google Drive folders, Dropbox folders, and YouTube channels to Tracked.

# Add a Tracked source

Open **Library → Tracked**. If you have no sources yet, Motif shows one add tile for each supported service. After sources exist, add tiles remain at the end of the grid.

## Discord channel

1. Choose **Track Discord**.
2. Connect Discord if Motif asks.
3. In **Connect Tracked to Discord**, search for a server or channel.
4. Select a channel Motif can read.

If a server is missing, choose **Add Motif bot**, add it to that server in Discord, return to Motif, and refresh the channel list.

Motif names the source after the channel and can use the server image as its initial cover.

## Telegram chat, channel, or topic

1. Choose **Track Telegram**.
2. Connect Telegram if necessary by scanning Motif's QR code from **Telegram → Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device** on your phone.
3. Search the available chats and channels.
4. Select the place you want to follow.

When a Telegram group uses forum topics, open the group and select the specific topic. Motif names that source as `Group / Topic` so it remains distinct from the rest of the group.

## Google Drive folder

1. Choose **Track Google Drive**.
2. Complete the Google connection if required.
3. Search or browse the available folders.
4. Select the folder you want to follow.

You can also choose **Add by link** and paste a Google Drive folder link that the connected account can access.

## Dropbox folder

1. Choose **Track Dropbox**.
2. Complete the Dropbox connection if required.
3. Search or browse the available folders.
4. Select the folder you want to follow.

For a shared folder, use **Add by link**. Enter the optional password when that shared link is protected.

## YouTube channel

1. Choose **Track YouTube**.
2. Pick a channel from your subscriptions, or select **+** and paste a public channel link or @handle.
3. Select **Track channel** for a link.

Choosing from subscriptions needs a YouTube connection with subscription access. A public channel link works without connecting YouTube. See [Track YouTube](https://docs.getmotif.page/tracked/youtube-channels.md) for the full flow.

## If the picker shows old or incomplete results

Connection pickers can offer **Retry**, **Refresh**, or **Reconnect** when the provider could not return a current listing. Use those controls before disconnecting the whole service.

## What happens after selection

The new source appears as a card under Tracked. Open it to load current audio, play the source, shuffle it, or refresh it.

Adding a source does not:

* follow every other place in that service;
* download every audio file;
* move remote files into Library;
* publish or send anything back to the source.
