Expanded player
Open the expanded player by selecting the current track in the Now Playing bar or using the upward chevron. The expanded view keeps listening controls, track context, and a large waveform or visualizer in one focused space. Select the downward chevron to return to the rest of Motif without stopping playback.Switch between waveform and visualizer
Use the control in the upper-left corner of the expanded player to switch modes:- Waveform gives you a visual map of the audio and a direct way to move through it.
- Visualizer turns the current audio into an animated visual scene.
Waveform
The waveform represents the duration and changing energy of the current audio. Use it to:- understand the overall shape of the production;
- jump to a particular section;
- revisit a transition, drop, verse, or ending;
- compare the same point across related versions.

The visualizer responds to the music currently playing. Click it for another scene, press↑ or ↓ to step through presets, or use fullscreen and picture-in-picture.
See Visualizer for scene changes, the picture-in-picture window, React to desktop, and compatibility mode.
